Since the rope is 8 meters long you will need to divide to find out how many 2/5 meter pieces can be cut from it.
So 8 divided by 2/5 will equal 20
Dividing is like multiplying
8      2          8        5
--  /  ---    =   ---   x  ---
1       5           1         2

8 times 5 = 40 and 1 times 2 = 2, so it is 40 over 2
which is also equal to 20
