Mixtures can be separated by physical changes. true or false?

Biology

True. In mixtures, the elements or compounds are not chemically combined together, they still retain their own properties. We can make use of this and separate the constitution elements by simple physical methods.

For example, in salt water, the water compund have a property that it can boil to vapor easily, but not for the salt, therefore we can use evaporation to separate salt from water.

Some other physical methods may include distillation, crystallization, chromatography etc.

The answer is True.

Physical changes are used to separate mixtures into their component compounds, but can not usually be used to separate compounds into chemical elements or simpler compounds. Physical changes occur when objects or substances undergo a change that does not change their chemical composition.

What is the role of your kidneys in compensating for low levels of oxygen
TEA [102]

Explanation:

When there are low oxygen levels in blood, the blood pH tends to lower. This is because there is an increased level of carbon dioxide in the blood that is converted to carbonic acid by carbonic anhydrase. When carbon acid dissociates, into H⁺ and HCO₃⁻ . The H⁺ influences the increase in acidity of the blood. The kidneys will excrete most of the H⁺ and retain most of the HCO₃⁻ to help maintain the right blood pH. However, most of blood pH homeostasis is maintained largely by the lungs.

How similar do DNA sequences need to be for 2 organisms to be considered the same species? And how is this decided
Law Incorporation [45]
According to the biological species concept, organisms belong to the same species if they can interbreed to produce viable, fertile offspring. Species are separated from one another by prezygotic and postzygotic barriers, which prevent mating or the production of viable, fertile offspring.

What is the meaning ontonic pressure
Serjik [45]
Ontonic Pressure, or colloid osmotic pressure, is a form of osmotic pressure exerted by proteins, notably albumin, in a blood vessel's plasma (blood/liquid) that usually tends to pull water into the circulatory system. It is the opposing force to hydrostatic pressure.

Hope this helps! <3

What is the difference between evaporation & transpiration??
evablogger [386]
Evaporation accounts for the movement of water to the air from sources such as the soil, canopy interception, and waterbodies. Transpiration accounts for the movement of water within a plant and the subsequent loss of water as vapor through stomata in its leaves.
