So last year furniture cost 97% of the current price.

Price for tables last years was = 97/100 × $2950 = $2861.5

Which is $2862 to nearest dollar.

Price for chairs last year = 97/100 × $3850 = $3734.5

Which is $3735 to nearest dollar.
