Biotechnology can be defined as using living organisms and to develop new products that can help human beings. Biotechnology has had an impact as follows:
Medicine: In the field of medicine, Biotech has resulted in the discovery and mass production of 'small molecule pharmaceutical drug'. Other examples include Genetic testing and genetic diagnoses of diseases.
Agriculture: Biotech has led to the development of GMC (genetically modified crops) which was able to bring about Green revolution and increase world production of food approx. 10 times. In animals, selective breeding and mutation breeding are examples of how Biotech has helped in factory farming methods.
Conservation: Biotechnology is being used to harness the potential of creating energy from plant-based sources such as Plankton and Algae. Biotech has also led to the development of trees and plants which are more resilient to climate change and can help in transforming communities.
Biotic mean alive, so we can cut off the first 2 easily. Aquatic birds eat frogs, so that one is safe for now. A decrease in something parasitic usually helps the population, so D is out too. The only one left is C.
They only looked at one school which is not representative of all students in schools. There could have been an illness going around at this particular school but they have nothing to compare their results to. There should be a control group of students at normal temperatures to compare results of the temperature difference effect also.
