Shark cartilage is a very popular supplement and it is often touted as a cure for diseases like cancer and AIDS. Some manufacturers claim that it works because sharks don’t get cancer and AIDS. That is really unlikely since only very few shark specimens undergo HIV testing or testing for cancer anyway. And sharks do get cancer. Scientists has documented at least 32 species of sharks, including few great whites, found with tumors. To make it short, shark cartilage does not work for HIV and cancer.
