Alexander Hamilton idea of Senate –as long as James Madison idea- considered equal representation despite differences in population impacted the ideas of justice in the human being(according to “Debates in Federal Convention of 1787”. For Madison, equal representation was an unjust principle. The Apportionment Scheme -process in which seats in a legislative body are distributed by administrative divisions entitled by representation created controversy at the Constitutional convention.

Today, the United States Senate is comprised of one hundred members —two senators per state(50 states). They serve a six-year term. The U.S. Senate was established by the Constitution as one chamber of the federal government’s legislative branch, along with members of the House of Representatives. They propose and vote on federal legislation of domestic and foreign U.S. policy.

Hamilton participated in the formation of the US as a Federation, so we are talking about the first US Senate.

A very distinctive feature is transparency. At that first moment, the meetings were secret, there was no permission from spectators and for a long time did not even have the publication of minutes. Today, with Democracy consolidated, there is transparency. Everything that happens in the Senate is documented and transmitted to society through official media and the press.

In addition, the role of the vice president of the republic should be emphasized. In that Senate, the vice president had the power to command the Senate. Today, the vice president only fulfills his missions in executive power, while the president of the Senate is chosen by a vote among the senators.

What power does Hamilton believe that the judicial branch holds over the legislative<br> branch?
Arte-miy333 [17]

Explanation:

Hamilton made two principal points in the essay. First, he argued for the independence of the judiciary from the other two branches of government, the executive and the legislative. In presenting a case for the judiciary, he reached his second major conclusion: that the judiciary must be empowered to strike down laws passed by Congress that it deems "contrary to the manifest tenor of the Constitution."

In presenting his argument for the independence of the judiciary, Hamilton claimed that it was by far the weakest of the three branches. It did not, he said, have the "sword" of the executive, who is commander in chief of the nation's armed forces, nor the "purse" of the legislature, which approves all the tax and spending measures of the national government. It had, according to Hamilton, "neither FORCE nor WILL but merely judgment."
