Answer:

Microsoft office 2013 Home and Business instant access version

Explanation:

Microsoft office 2013 has different versions like:

  • Home and student version: this version includes the basic application which are word, excel, power point and one note
  • Home and Business version: this version includes the basic applications which are word, excel, power point, One note including Outlook

it would be better and cheaper for her to buy the Microsoft office 2013 Home and business version since it includes all the applications she wants and she wouldn't have to pay for subscription just a one time purchase money. but if she gets office 365 it might be cheaper but she will have to pay a subscription. the home and student version is cheaper but doesn't have the Outlook application.

An_is a sepuence of precise instructions which result in a solution
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

algorithm.

Explanation:

An algorithm can be defined as a standard formula or procedures which comprises of set of finite steps or instructions for solving a problem on a computer. The time complexity is a measure of the amount of time required by an algorithm to run till its completion of the task with respect to the length of the input.

Furthermore, the processing symbols and their functions used in developing an algorithm are oval (start or stop), diamond (decision-making), circle (on-page connector), parallelogram (input and output), rectangle (calculation), arrow (flow or direction) and pentagon (off-page connector).

Some of the characteristics of an algorithm include the following;

I. An algorithm can be written using pseudocode. A pseudocode refers to the description of the steps contained in an algorithm using a plain or natural language.

II. An algorithm can be visualized using flowcharts. A flowchart can be defined as a graphical representation of an algorithm for a process or workflow.

In conclusion, an algorithm is a sequence of precise instructions which result in a solution for solving problems using a computer system.

Please help, will give brainliest!!! I need help with these coding questions, any help is appreciated
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

class Foo:

   def F(self, n):

       if n == 1:

           return 1

       return self.F(n - 1) + 3 * n - 2

Explanation:

This should cover part a to this question. The thing I'm not sure on is they use the term "method" which in python technically means a class function...but then list one argument with the function call which makes me think it is possibly just supposed to be a regular function. Which would be the following snippet. It would depend on if you are using classes or not yet in your coding class.

def F(n):

   if n == 1:

       return 1

   return F(n - 1) + 3 * n - 2

Play around with it and look into python "lists" and "for loops" for part c. Part b I'm not sure what kind of example they want since I'm not in that class. Good luck!

Write a static method called bothStart that allows the user to input two Strings and returns the String that is the longest subs
marishachu [46]

Answer:

  1.    public static String bothStart(String text1, String text2){
  2.        String s = "";
  3.        if(text1.length() > text2.length()) {
  4.            for (int i = 0; i < text2.length(); i++) {
  5.                if (text1.charAt(i) == text2.charAt(i)) {
  6.                    s += text1.charAt(i);
  7.                }else{
  8.                    break;
  9.                }
  10.            }
  11.            return s;
  12.        }else{
  13.            for (int i = 0; i < text1.length(); i++) {
  14.                if (text1.charAt(i) == text2.charAt(i)) {
  15.                    s += text1.charAt(i);
  16.                }else{
  17.                    break;
  18.                }
  19.            }
  20.            return s;
  21.        }
  22.    }

Explanation:

Let's start with creating a static method <em>bothStart()</em> with two String type parameters, <em>text1 </em>&<em> text2</em> (Line 1).

<em />

Create a String type variable, <em>s,</em> which will hold the value of the longest substring that both inputs start with the same character (Line 2).

There are two possible situation here: either <em>text1 </em>longer than<em> text2 </em>or vice versa. Hence, we need to create if-else statements to handle these two position conditions (Line 4 & Line 13).

If the length of<em> text1</em> is longer than <em>text2</em>, the for-loop should only traverse both of strings up to the length of the <em>text2 </em>(Line 5). Within the for-loop, we can use<em> charAt()</em> method to extract individual character from the<em> text1</em> & <em>text2 </em>and compare with each other (Line 15). If they are matched, the character should be joined with the string s (Line 16). If not, break the loop.

The program logic from (Line 14 - 20) is similar to the code segment above (Line 4 -12) except for-loop traverse up to the length of <em>text1 .</em>

<em />

At the end, return the s as output (Line 21).
