icang [17]

Hello. You did not present the title of the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered exactly. In the meantime I will help you in the best possible way.

A war is an environment of death, decay, problems, sadness and destruction. For Nat to compare her own situation to a war, she must be involved in these terrible factors. Nat's situation, therefore, must be a situation of misery and destruction, where she cannot find rest and happiness, but has the feeling that everything is falling apart around her and where she feels no security at all.

Which linking verb phrase would best connect the hydrogen bonds term in the map to one of the other terms?
IrinaK [193]
Hydrogen bonds form between a hydrogen that is engaged in a polar covalent bond with oxygen or nitrogen (thus carrying a partial positive charge) and a different oxygen or nitrogen also engaged in a polar covalent bond (and thus carrying a partial negative charge). I hope my answer has come to your help. God bless and have a nice day ahead!

Ok the setting is clearly outside.

The first point could be that the description of the growling dog gives an effect of being surrounded by danger, especially with the repetition of the growling coming from everywhere.
It give a feeling of being trapped and Stephen king uses this to create tension.

The second point could refer to the woman and her strange actions because she is frightened of the unknown, and often being in the outside exposes you to things you can’t always escape from. King uses this to convey a fearful setting that a reader can relate to.

I hope this helps :)
