The trawling is a fishing technique that is very dangerous for the marine life. The reason for that is that with this technique of fishing, by throwing very large nets and moving them around in the open waters, lot of species are caught, both the ones that were intended to be fished but also ones that haven't been intended for fishing.

That makes a very big problem, and even if the fishermen let back into the water the species that haven't been intended for fishing, very often some of them are already dead, or more commonly injured. When returned to the water, if returned at all, because of their injuries they can not function properly and die.

This method causes a big loss of biodiversity, which is why it is forbidden in numerous countries.

how do decaying organisms affect the health of an ecosystem? How would the complete removal of decomposers affect an ecosystem
Simora [160]
If you were to remove the decomposers all of the dead plants and animals on the ground floor would remain there and cause a build up of dead animals and plant matter not being removed via the decomposers

What can I draw for an abiotic part of an ecosystem?
adelina 88 [10]
<span>An ecosystem involves both the biological (plants, animals, human beings) and non-biological (land, water, soil, and atmosphere) community which interacts as a system. More importantly, the living things are very dependent on the abiotic community since it cannot survive by itself. Every animal, plant and human needs the primary physiological needs of water, food and shelter provided by the abiotic system.
