About 17% of Americans have blue eyes. There are 85 students at Park Street Middle School who have blue eyes. How many total stu

dents would there need to be at Park Street Middle School for the percentage of students with blue eyes to match the national statistic? Please show your work

85 divided by 17=5 so every 1% of students at the school comprise of 5 students, to find the total number of students we need to multiply 100 by 5 making 500, so there would be 500 students at park street middle school for the number of students with blue eyes to match the national statistic.
