Answer:

Titaallik

Explanation:

One of the major archeological findings what that of the Titaallik. This is a monospecific genus of extinct sarcopterygian from the Late Devonian Period, roughly about 375 Mya. This species helped help us links marine mammals to their terrestrial ancestors since the Titaallik was a half-species which was a snake with legs. Thus linking modern snakes to their amphibious ancestors from which they descended.

A new strain of rice was developed to be resistant to popular weed killers. What could be a negative outcome from the production
asambeis [7]
B. Because of Farm laws that require no seeds to be kept from a harvest, or you are not allowed to have plants of a different genetic make or made by a different company in your field if you didn't buy it, you could have wind carry seeds into opposing fields, and if inspected, you would potentially have to pay a fine for having unauthorized varieties growing in your field. And trying to remove it would be a pain, because you would either have to find a killer that your plants are resistant to, or to find these individually and pluck them, or to spray a killer that would kill all of your plants, but none of these resistant varieties

Identify the true statements about RNA interference. Duplex RNA (dsRNA) can suppress the expression of a gene. miRNAs are short,
AlekseyPX

Answer:

- Duplex RNA (dsRNA) can suppress the expression of a gene.

- miRNAs are short, single strands approximately 21 nucleotides long.

- miRNAs suppress gene expression by interfering with transcription.

- RNA interference can temporarily suppress the expression of a target gene.

Explanation:

The RNA interference (RNAi) mechanism is a naturally occurring biological process by which an organism suppresses gene expression by using sequence-specific small non-coding RNAs that are complementary to RNA (posttranscriptional silencing) or DNA (transcriptional silencing) sequences. Since its discovery, this mechanism has been exploited in molecular biology to control the expression of target genes. There are different classes of non-coding RNAs which are able to trigger RNAi gene silencing: microRNAs (miRNAs), small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs, only present in animals), etc. During their functioning, these non-coding RNAs are loaded into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) to direct them to target sequences and trigger RNAi (for example, by cleaving target mRNAs). miRNAs are short, evolutionary conserved RNAs, that associate to the RISC complex in order to trigger both transcriptional and posttranscriptional gene silencing. During their biogenesis, small non-coding RNAs are double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), but they lose a strand (the passenger strand) when associate with the RISC complex, conserving only one strand (the guide strand) that bind by complementary base pairing to target sequences (either DNA in the nucleus or RNA in the cytoplasm).

kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

a bacterium

Explanation:

<em>Penicillium nonatum is a type of </em><em>bacterium</em><em>.</em>

<u>Bacteria are prokaryotic, microscopic organisms that are capable of adopting different lifestyles based on their mode of nutrition. While some are capable of manufacturing their foods via photosynthesis/chemosynthesis, some are saprophytic in nature while others lives as parasites on living organisms.</u>

Those that lives as parasites are often capable of causing diseases and are therefore called pathogens.

Penicillium nonatum is capable of producing a substance that has the capacity to inhibit the growth of another bacteria. Substances that are capable of inhibiting or killing bacteria are generally known as antibiotics.
