The  mass  percentage  composition  of  nitrogen  in  CO(NH2)2  is 46 .7%

    calculation

%  mass  =   molar  mass  of nitrogen/ molar mass  of  Co(NH2)2 

molar mass  of nitrogen =  14 x2 = 28g/mol  since there is  two  nitrogen atom  in  Co(NH2)2\

molar mass  of CO(NH2)2  = 12 + 16 + (14 x2) +( 2 x2)=  60 g/mol

the %  mass  is therefore =28 /  60  x100   =46.7%

Molar mass of C = 12 g/mole

Molar mass of H = 1 g/mole

Molar mass of O = 16 g/mole

Molar mass of N = 14 g/mole

First we have to calculate the molar mass of CO(NH_2)_2 .

Molar mass of glucose (CO(NH_2)_2 = 1(12)+1(16)+2(14)+4(1)=60g/mole

Now we have to calculate the mass percent composition of nitrogen in CO(NH_2)_2.  

As we now that there are 1 number of carbon atom, 4 number of hydrogen atoms, 1 number of oxygen atom and 2 number of nitrogen atoms.

The mass of nitrogen = 2\times 14=28g

Formula used :

\%\text{ Mass percent composition of nitrogen}=\frac{\text{Mass of nitrogen}}{\text{Molar mass of } CO(NH_2)_2}\times 100

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get:

\%\text{ Composition of nitrogen}=\frac{28}{60}\times 100=46.7\%

Therefore, the percent composition of nitrogen in CO(NH_2)_2 is, 46.7 %
