English

7 0

Answer:

(B) John said, “Of course,” eagerly, vigorously nodding his head

Explanation:

Stylistic sentences are best defined as a type of sentence that uses a stylistic device. Some examples of stylistic devices are alliteration, allusion, and metaphor. The type of device that is being used in the example is imagery.

It is clear that both (A) and (B) are conveying John’s eager agreement to something. However, (B) is portraying his eagerness in a better manner than (A). You can actually see that John’s eagerness is translated in the sentence; however, describing John’s non-verbal behaviors through “eagerly, vigorously nodding his head,” provides a clearer imagery to John’s excitement.
