A. 20 for $2.47 is about 12 cents per ounce (0.1234)

32 oz for $2.99 is about 9 cents per ounce (.093)

40 oz for $3.79 is about 9 cents an oz (0.095)

B. The best deal is 32 ounce for $2.99 but not by much over 40 oz for 3.79

Solve equations show all steps 1. 2x-10=44+8x 2. 7x-4=20=3x 3. 2(x-3)=-20 4. 15-4x+5=32
Inga [223]

Answer:

2x - 10 = 44 + 8x

7x - 4 = 20 =3x

2(x-3) = -20

15 - 4x + 5 = 32

Step-by-step explanation:

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

                    2*x-10-(44+8*x)=0

Pull out like factors :

  -6x - 54  =   -6 • (x + 9)

  -6   =  0

 Solve  :    x+9 = 0

Subtract  9  from both sides of the equation :

                     x = -9

x = -9

Move all terms containing

x

to the left side of the equation.

x

−

=

20

Move all terms not containing

x

to the right side of the equation.

4

x

=

24

divide each term by 4

x = 6

2(x−3)=−20

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

2(x−3)=−20

2x−6=−20

Step 2: Add 6 to both sides.

2x−6+6=−20+6

2x=−14

Step 3: Divide both sides by 2.

2x

2

=

−14

2

x=−7

−4x+20=32

Step 2: Subtract 20 from both sides.

−4x+20−20=32−20

−4x=12

Step 3: Divide both sides by -4.

−4x

−4

=

12

x=−3

Use the rules for multiplication by powers of 10 to calculate 3 × 100
padilas [110]
3 × 100 = 300

the easiest way to do it is just add the same amount of zero's to the number you multiplied with. for example

3 × 10000 if you would just take out the zero's
it would look like this. 3 × 1

the answer of course would be 3 then you can put the zero's back in the answer (30000)

at least that's how I understood it

3 × 100 =

3 × 1(00) =
-->

-->
(00)
3 × 1(00) = 3

3 × 100 = 300

What is the approximate perimeter of the square with the area of 112cm^2.Step by step answers please?
Alex17521 [72]
First find the length of the side by taking the square root of 112.

There are 4 sides so multiply your answer by 4 to get the perimeter.

The answer is 42.332 which rounds to 42.
