Break up the figure into three semicircles and a triangle. Find the area of each piece and then add up the sub-areas to get the total area.

T = 0.25*sqrt(3)*s^2
T = 0.25*sqrt(3)*10^2
T = 43.30127 which is approximate

M = area of one semicircle
M = (area of full circle)/2
M = (pi*r^2)/2
M = (pi*5^2)/2
M = (3.14*5^2)/2
M = 39.25 which is approximate 

There is one triangle and three semicircles, so
A = total area
A = T+3*M
A = 43.30127+3*39.25
A = 161.05127

The total area of the entire figure is roughly 161.05127 square inches
