Answer:

The time it took him to climb up the hill is 1.8 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, t represents the the time it took him to climb up the hill,

Total time taken by it = 3 hours,

Thus, the time taken by it to climb down the hill = ( 3 - t ) hours.

Since, Trent hikes up a hill at 4 km/h,

⇒ Total distance covered by it to climb up = 4 t    (Distance = Speed × Time)

Since, Trent go down a hill at 6 km/h,

⇒ Total distance covered by it to go down = 6(3-t)

We know that,

Total distance covered by it to climb up = Total distance covered by it to go down

⇒ 4t = 6(3-t)

Which is the required equation.

⇒ 4t = 18 - 6t

⇒ 10 t = 18

⇒ t = 1.8

Hence, the time it took him to climb up the hill is 1.8 hours.

t = time to hike up the hill

3-t is the time to hike down the hill

 so 4t = 6(3-t)

4t = 18-6t

10t = 18

t = 18/10 = 1.8 hours to hike up the hill

1.8 hours = 1 hour 48 minutes

1 over 4a = 2 over 3. Which of the following equals a in this equation?
dlinn [17]

Answer:

3/8

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation is given as:

1/4*a=2/3

We can simply the equation by getting rid of the denominators which is 4a and 3. Therefore we can multiply both sides with 3*4*a:

(1/4*a)3*4*a=(2/3)*3*4*a

On the left hand side 4a cancels with 4a and on the right hand side 3 cancels with 3. We are left with:

3=2*4*a

∴ After simplying

a=3/8

Use the table of integrals, or a computer or calculator with symbolic integration capabilities, to find the indefinite integral.
nignag [31]

Answer:

-\frac{3}{11}\ln(\cot t + \csc t)+C

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given:  \int \frac{3}{x\sqrt{121-x^2}} dx

We will use integration by parts.

x = 11 \sin t\\dx = 11 \cos t \: dt

\int \frac{3}{x\sqrt{121-x^2}} dx=\int \frac{3* 11 \cos t \: dt}{11 \sin t\sqrt{121-121\sin^2 t}} =\int \frac{3* 11 \cos t \: dt}{11 \sin t*11\cos t}} =\\\\= \frac{3}{11} \int \csc t = -\frac{3}{11}\ln(\cot t + \csc t)+C
