The body determines whether certain genes should be expressed or not. Sometimes genes are only turned on once or twice in a life
zmey [24]

The gene which is produced once or twice in a lifetime is the milk producing hormone after childbirth. This is because it is produced only after the birth of the child. The growth of the mammary glands takes place during pregnancy. The breast continue to increase in size after giving birth to a child. After delivery only copious milk is produced which is generally done with the help of milk hormone. During pregnancy the secretion of the milk is inhibited by the estrogen and progesterone which circulates in the blood stream which in turn inhibits the release of prolactin from the pituitary gland thus making the mammary glands unresponsive. Where as insulin is a hormone which helps the body to utilise the sugar or glucose from different sources like carbohydrates that we get while we eat food and adrenaline is secreted when we are scared or when we feel that we are in danger. Therefore, milk producing hormone is the gene that are turned once or twice in a lifetime.

Answer:

Gene therapy

Explanation:

Gene therapy can be defined as the methodologies used to modify/restore the expression of target genes and thus cure and treat genetic disorders. Gene therapy approaches consist of delivering specific nucleic acids (either RNA or DNA) in the cells of the individual to be treated. Some of the most important gene therapy approaches include the use of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) in order to block target gene expression, adenovirus vectors to insert genes into host cells, the use of the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing system to insert specific sequences by the mechanism of homologous recombination, etc.

Answer:

The correct answer is option B) "computers are not as trustworthy as actual prototypes are"

Explanation:

It is false to affirm that results obtained from computer simulations towards looking for solutions of real-world problems are not as trustworthy as results obtained from actual prototypes. In most cases, computer simulations had proved to be reliable, particularly when the programers use validating arithmetic and algorithms. There are multiple companies dedicated to develop computer simulations to solve real-world problems, which are constantly used and tested in scientific investigations.

Describe how ADH affects the kidney tubules to bring about the relationship
kolbaska11 [484]

The Antidiuretic hormone ( ADH ) affects the kidney tubules tp bring about the reabsorption of water in the glomerular filtrate.

Thus, the Antidiuretic hormone ( ADH ) also play a vital role in the kidney in homeostasis

What is homeostasis?

Homeostasis can simply be defined as the steady maintenance of the internal environment of an organism. Living organisms usually find a way to balance any low or high concentration of substances in the internal environment

Below are what makes up the internal environment of an organism:

 • Blood
 • Lymph
 • Intercellular fluids

So therefore, cell structures involved releases glucagon to raises the blood glucose levels when the glucose levels in the blood is low
