I'm thinking d, since the model itself has factories/industries located on the ring just outside of the central business district, which is usually located in a city's center. Don't quote me though, it's been years since I've taken human geography.

Answer:  The correct answer is :  d. The industrial area is located far away from the city center.

Explanation:  The Burgess and Hoyt model focuses on the idea that land has a higher value in the center of a town or a city, because competition is high in the central parts of a settlement. The Burgess model also states that transport networks such as railways and highways exert an influence on the urban growth of human settlements.

What do the phrases, "the die is cast" and "crossing the Rubicon" mean?
Vikki [24]
The die is cast means an event has happened or a decision has been taken that cannot be changed. It is also a variation of a Latin phrase attributed by Suetonius to Julius Caesar on January 10, 49 BC, as he led his army across the Rubicon river in Northern Italy.

Today, the phrase crossing the Rubicon is an idiom that means to pass a point of no return.
