(-12, 5) is the point K
To get the x coordinate, you have to see how far you went from J to M in the x-directioon.  -3 - 6 = -9 so to go on to K subtract 9 again -3 - 9 = -12 for the x

Do the same for the y-coordinate
4 - 3 = 1 so add 1 again
4 + 1 = 5
Thus the point (-12, 5)

It will take her 8 weeks to save up enough money for the bike.

To get the answer first you have to subtract 125 from 245 to see how much money she still has to save then divide the answer which is 120 by 15 and you get 8. Hope this helps!!

Find an equation for the line that passes through the points (1, -1) and (-3, 1).
saul85 [17]

Answer:

<h3>y = - 1/2x - 1/2</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation of line is y = mx + c

where m is the slope

c is the y intercept

Slope of the line using points

(1, -1) and (-3, 1) is

m =  \frac{1 + 1}{ - 3 - 1}  =  -  \frac{2}{4}  =  -  \frac{1}{2}

Equation of the line using point

( 1 , - 1) and slope - 1/2 is

y + 1 =  -  \frac{1}{2} (x - 1) \\ y + 1 =  -  \frac{1}{2} x +  \frac{1}{2}  \\ y =   - \frac{ 1}{2} x +  \frac{1}{2}  - 1 \\ y =  -  \frac{1}{2} x -  \frac{1}{2}

Hope this helps you.
