lithium chloride or licl is a salt It is an ionic compound because the Lithium atom readily releases its lone valence electron to the chlorine atom thus forming an ionic bond

An ionic bond is found between a metal and a non-metal, or a cation and anion. The metal always gives electrons away, and the non-metal always gains electrons. So in the bond for lithium chloride, the lithium ion gives away one electron (giving it a 1+ oxidation number) and the chloride ion takes the electron (giving it a 1- oxidation number) so the chemical formula is written as a 1:1 ratio, since they give and take the same number of electrons. The chemical formula is written as LiCl. This gives you 1 - lithium and 1- chlorine.

In life cycles that alternate between haploid and diploid stages, ____________ acts to reduce the number of chromosomes per cell
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

meiosis_

fertilization

mitosis

zygote

Explanation:

In life cycles that alternate between haploid and diploid stages, ____meiosis_ acts to reduce the number of chromosomes per cell from two sets to one set. In life cycles that alternate between haploid and diploid stages, ___fertilization__ acts to double the number of chromosome per cell from one set to two sets. In life cycles that alternate between haploid and diploid stages, ______mitosis______ acts to keep the number of chromosomes per cell the same. In animals, a single diploid cell called a ____zygote________ divides by mitosis to give rise to all the cells of the adult body.

What do you think would happen to the cell cycle if interphase was skipped
Margarita [4]

Answer:

If mitosis skipped any of the stages, it would result in a mutated cell. If the cell skipped Metaphase, it could make daughter cells that are different than the parent cells. If the cell skipped Telophase, the cell would not divide, and the parent cell would attempt interphase with another nucleus.

Explanation:

The cell cycle has two main phases, interphase and mitosis. Mitosis is the process during which one cell divides into two. Interphase is the time during which preparations for mitosis are made.

Controlled experiment is used parallel with experiment in which some alteration of the subject is induced. This is because this way can be compared in treated and non-treated subject. When sort of data table is necessary, using the controlled experiment, it can be determined what sort of data table will be most useful.
