21/50

21/50 is in its most simple form because it cannot be broken down any further.

Answer: 21/50

Match the following exponential functions with their "b" value.
marishachu [46]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  in order by function: 0.6, 8, 7/3, 2, 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

The functions are given in the form ...

  f(x) = a·b^x

The "b" value is the value immediately to the left of the exponent. (It's not rocket science; it's pattern matching.) Note that the minus sign in g(x) is part of 'a', not part of 'b'.

From the top-down, the functions listed on the left have the b-values shown above.

Answer:

Question 1. Correct choice A

Question 2 Correct choice A

Step-by-step explanation:

To answer the first question, let's do the following operation, subtract the salary for n years of education with the salary for n-1 years of education:

(125.66x_{2}-846.3) - (125.66x_{1}-846.3)\\

Where:

x_{2} represents n years of education

x_{1} represents n-1 years of education.

Then, solving:

(125.66x_{2}-846.3) - (125.66x_{1}-846.3) = 125.66x_{2}-846.3-125.66x_{1} + 846.

= 125.66x_{2}-125.66x_{1}\\

= 125.66 (x_{2}-x_{1}) Since x_{2} is always a unit greater than x_{1}, its subtraction is always equal to 1.

= 125.66(1)\\ = 125.66

This result shows that the increase for an additional year of education is always equal to the value of the slope of the line, that is, $ 125.66. Therefore the correct option for this question is "A".

In cuano to the second question:

The intersection of the line with the y-axis occurs when the value of x is equal to zero, or in this case, when the years in the collage are 0.

This means that when there are no years of education in the collage, the salary is expected to be equal to the value of the intersection of the line with the axis y, that is, equal to 24,600 thousand dollars.

Then the correct option is A.

An account is opened with $7,595.96 with a rate of increase of 2% per year. After 1 year, the bank account contains $7,746.90. A
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

7595.96 × 0.02 × x = y

Step-by-step explanation:

1. We start with $7595.96.

2. The interest is 2% or 0.02

3. Using this formula - P(Principle) x R(Rate) x T(Time) we pluck in the numbers.

4. 7595.96(Principle) x 0.02(Rate) x x(Time) = y(amount of money in the account after x years).

Not good at physics problems, need help!
xxMikexx [17]

Next time, please post in the physics section. It is not exactly a math problem because it requires knowledge of kinematics equations, assumptions and constants.

Given:

A rocket fired (assumed vertically upwards) at an initial velocity of +123 ft./s (positive upwards) against acceleration due to gravity of (assumed -32.2 ft/s^2) at an initial height of +4 feet above the ground. Need to find the time it takes before rocket reaches ground (assuming air resistance negligible) due to free fall.

Kinematics equations:

Using given numerical information

u=inivitial velocity=+123 ft/s

g=acceleration due to gravity= -32.2 ft/s^2

s0=initial location, height=+4 ft

s1=final local, height = 0 ft (ground)

We make use of the kinematics equation

s1=s0+u*t+at^2.............................(1)

where a=acceleration = g = -32.2 ft/s^2

Subsitute values in (1)

0=4+123*t-32.2t^2

and solve for t using the quadratic formula (knowing that t>0)

t=[-123 ± sqrt(123^2-4*(-32.2)*4)]/(2*-32.2) =>

t = -0.03225 sec. or t=3.852 sec.

Reject negative root, so the rocket will hit the ground 3.852 seconds since airborne.

Note: since #61 and #62 are pale in colour, it will be assumed that you can handle those two, or they will be the subject of other questions. Thank you.
