When you devide fractions you flip the denominator and make it a multiplication.
H / K = H * 1/K
(3/8) / ((1/4) = (3/8)(4/1) = 3/2

{(1/4) / (1/3)} - (3/8) = (1/4)*(3/1) - (3/8)
= 3/4 - 3/8 = 6/8 - 3/8 = 3/8
