A mother, father, and son live together in the same house. The mother passes a cold to her son. The son then passes the cold to

his father. If the virus has not mutated, should the mother be worried about catching the cold again from her husband?
a)
No, memory cells will help the mother's immune system to quickly eliminate the virus.

b)
Yes, although the mother has produced some antibodies to the cold virus, it can still overwhelm her immune system.

c)
No, the T cells that are left from the previous infection can kill off any virus.

d)
Yes, the immune system will treat the cold virus like a new infectious agent.

f)
No, because the virus has not mutated, her physical barriers will protect her from the virus.

Answer:

Option c (No, T cells left from the previous infection can kill any virus.

)

Explanation:

When ever viral infection occur, body's immune system start to fight against it by activating B-cells and T-cells.

B-cells produce antibodies that bind with virus and act as label. This label indicate virus as foreign substance. Hence T-cells recognize it and kill it. Furthermore, B-cells form memory cell that keep the viral memory. if this viral infection occur again in future, T-cell recognize it and eliminate the virus. This mechanism is called immunity.

Inhaling through the nostrils is preferred over inhaling through the mouth because
Nookie1986 [14]
It is preferred to inhale through an individual’s nostrils than through mouth respiration because it allows better conditioning of the air being inhaled. Base on a research, individuals who have proper knowledge on nasal breathing and performs nasal breathing during an exercise expels more expired air or also known as CO2 (Carbon Dioxide). Mouth respiration may cause an increase in pH and Vocal effort, which is why nasal breathing is preferred more than mouth respiration.

Answer: Weak.

Explanation:

The complete question is:

Scientists use a substance called Iodine-131 to treat cancer. As Iodine-131 undergoes radioactive decay and emits beta particles, it kill cancer cells. Which fundamental force is being used in this type of treatment?

Well, here we have beta decay.

Beta-decay is when a beta particle (an electron or a positron) is emitted from an atomic nucleus (usually a neutron-rich nucleus). We know that beta decay is a consequence of the weak force or weak interaction (the force responsible for the radioactive decay of atoms)

Then the correct option is the second one, weak.
