The definition of degradation is: “Any act that will disturb the environment in an undesirable or deleterious ways. During such a process, resources such as soil, water and air are depleted.” It occurs when earth’s natural resources are depleted and environment is compromised in the form of extinction of species, pollution in air, water and soil, and rapid growth in population.
