Solution:

we have been asked to graphf(x)=2^x+1 and g(x)=-x+7 on the same coordinate plane.

Then we have been asked to find the solution to the equation f(x)=g(x)?

So we will plot the graph and look for their point of intersection, the x-coordinate of the point of intersection will give the value of x.

So from the graph its clear that the point of intersection is (2,5)

Hence the value of x=2

How would I solve this?? 5p-8(p+1)>16
alexandr402 [8]

<em>*To solve inequalities is similar to solving equations: isolate the desired variable to one side.</em>

So firstly, distribute -8 to (p + 1):

5p-8p-8>16

Next, combine like terms:

-3p-8>16

Next, add 8 to both sides:

-3p>24

Lastly, divide both sides by -3. Now since you are dividing by a <u>negative</u>, you will be flipping the inequality symbol as well.<u> Your final answer will be p</u>

Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

15

Step-by-step explanation:

(18+22+17+x)/4=18

18+22+17+x=18×4

57+x=72

Find an equation of the circle that satisfies the given conditions. (Give your answer in terms of x and y.) Center at the origin
Elanso [62]

Answer:

The equation of circle is x^2+y^2=65.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the circle passes through the point (8,1) and center at the origin.

The distance between any point and the circle and center is called radius. it means radius of the given circle is the distance between (0,0) and (8,1).

Distance formula:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Using distance formula the radius of circle is

r=\sqrt{\left(8-0\right)^2+\left(1-0\right)^2}=\sqrt{65}

The standard form of a circle is

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2         .... (1)

where, (h,k) is center and r is radius.

The center of the circle is (0,0). So h=0 and k=0.

Substitute h=0, k=0 and r=\sqrt{65} in equation (1).

(x-0)^2+(y-0)^2=(\sqrt{65})^2

x^2+y^2=65

Therefore the equation of circle is x^2+y^2=65.

9 batteries cost 13 dollars.It's ratios and Rates
8090 [49]
One battery costs $1.44.

The unit rate would be
\frac{1.44}{1 battery}

To get that answer, you would have to divide 13 ÷ 9.

I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but if it was, I hope I helped! :-)
