e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

A. Their location just outside the city of Rome made them urgent centers of political power.

Explanation:

The renaissance effects increased the literature and emphasized on the human and individual being. It also increased the willingness of satirizing the institution that was already in existence, for instance, the state and the church.

The initial poets influence the poetry art through the inspirational drama that was played by the Greeks and the Romans. This, therefore, led innovation that people mostly concentrated on different mysteries of nature that later promoted political power in the major centers.

Why did Nick's father tell him he should refrain from judging or criticizing other people? -From the Great Gatsby
KIM [24]

Answer:he said just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.

Explanation: ‘Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.’”

—Nick Carraway, The Great Gatsby

F is for F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of Gatsby and master of human insight wrapped in poetry. His novel begins here, his narrator Nick Carraway, grappling with his father’s caution of criticism—

“All the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”

In short, people judge, and Nick tries to refrain because his father said so. I think about Nick’s words and my life. I remember how often my mother would stop herself mid-criticism and say, “I’m not going to say that. It wasn’t very nice.” Then Philippians 4:8 comes to mind about thinking on excellent, praiseworthy things.

Speaking of excellence and praise, what about this one for its sheer lyricism? “It was dawn now on Long Island and we went about opening the rest of the windows downstairs, filling the house with grey turning, gold turning light. The shadow of a tree fell abruptly across the dew and ghostly birds began to sing among the blue leaves. There was a slow pleasant movement in the air, scarcely a wind, promising a cool lovely day.”

The personification of the shadow in this poem A) makes the shadow seem alive and personable. B) is meant to make the reader fea
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer: Make the shadow seem alive and personable

Explanation:

Regardless of personification attachment to statements, its meaning reflects. Personification is a figure of speech in which a thing or an idea or an animal is given human attributes. The non-human objects are portrayed in such a way that we feel they have the ability to act like human beings.

Example of this is, "I wondered lonely as cloud as a cloud". Here the cloud seem to be live and personable.
