Every single day, life was arduous. Working day and night most likely tired them to their breaking point, yet they were continually pushed. Their rights were completely stripped from them; they had to work for others. They were mistreated, and really not even considered human.

I certainly expect my expedition and volunteering efforts to have broader impact and contribute to the welfare of society. My skills should be in line with those needed for my planned expedition and volunteering activities. Personally, I am interested in protecting endangered marine life and reducing marine pollution. Many of my skills like diving, swimming, etc. cater to the pursuit of these interests.</span>
