Answer:

R = 0.083 atm .L /  mol.K

Explanation:

Given data:

Pressure of gas = 259,392.00 Pa

Temperature = 2.0 °C

Moles = 1 mol

Volume = 8.8 dm³

R = ?

Solution:

First of all we will convert the units.

Pa to atm

259,392.00 /101325 = 2.56 atm

dm³ to L

8.8 dm³ = 8.8 L

2.0 °C to K

2+273 = 275 K

Now we will calculate the R:

PV = nRT

R = PV/ nT

R =  2.56 atm . 8.8 L / 1 mol. 275 K

R = 22.528  atm .L / 1 mol. 275 K

R = 0.083 atm .L /  mol.K

Predict the product of the reaction between toluene and bromine in presence of iron. Draw arrow-pushing mechanism for the major
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

Structures of products have been given below

Explanation:

  • It is an example of bromination reaction of toluene in presence of a catalyst e.g. Fe
  • Methyl group in toluene is o/p-directing group. Therefore Br adds onto ortho and para position to methyl group in toluene.
  • Reaction goes through electrophilic aromatic substitution. Here Br replaces one H atom from benzene ring.
  • Here ortho product appears as a major one due to the fact that inductive effect of methyl substituent operates majorly at ortho position.
  • reaction mechanism and structures of products have been shown below.

How many grams hydrogen in 4.5 mol H2SO4
swat32
H2SO4 ---> 2H^+ + SO4^2-

Hence n H+ = 9 mols

Mass of H = nM = (9*1) = 9g

Alternately

mass of H2SO4= nM= 4.5*98= 441

Mass of H= mass h2so4 * molar mass of H/molar mass of h2so4
Mass of H= 441 * 2/98 = 9g

What chemical reaction is SiCl2>Si+Cl2
dlinn [17]

The chemical reaction of SiCl2→ Si +Cl2 is

A  decomposition reaction

Explanation

  • A decomposition reaction is type of chemical reaction which involve breaking down a compound into smaller compounds or individual elements.
  • SiCl2→ Si +Cl2 is a decomposition reaction because SICl2 is broken down into Si and Cl2
  • Decomposition reaction often involve input of energy in form of heat to break down compounds
