Convert liters to milliliters so that you have one unit for all of the amounts in the question.

1 liter is equal to 1000 milliliters, so multiply the 1.5 liters you have by 1000:

1.5 * 1000 = 1500

Since you drank 295 milliliters, and your friend drank 135 milliliters, you will subtract those values from the amount in the bottle:

1500 - 295 - 135 = 1500 - 430 = 1070

There is 1070 milliliters of water left in the bottle.

If you want to find the amount remaining in the bottle in liters, divide the amount remaining by 1000 to convert milliliters to liters:

1070 / 1000 = 1.07

Converted back into liters, there is 1.07 liters of water left in the bottle.

Solve the equation. Show the process, not just an answer. 6.EE.7
Natalka [10]

Isolate the variable, note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other.

1) 4k = 24

Isolate the variable, k. Divide 4 from both sides of the equation:

(4k)/4 = (24)/4

k = 24/4

k = 6

2) 34 + h = 60

Isolate the variable, h. Subtract 34 from both sides of the equation:

34 (-34) + h = 60 (-34)

h = 60 - 34

h = 26

3) 1/5x = 30

Isolate the variable, x. Multiply 5 to both sides of the equation:

(5) * (1/5)x = (30) * (5)

x = 30 * 5

x = 150

4) m - 42 = 85

Isolate the variable, m. Add 42 to both sides of the equation:

m- 42 (+42) = 85 (+42)

m = 85 + 42

m = 127

I need it ASAP! Tristan swam around a lake 8 times. The distance around the lake was 0.25 miles. He swam at an average of 60 min
yarga [219]
Total of 8 times
Distance is 0.25 miles

8 * 0.25 is 2 so a total distance of 2 miles

We know his avg swim rate to be 60 minutes per mile, meaning if he traveled 2 miles then we multiply it by 60 to get our total time taken.

60min/mile * 2 miles = 120 minutes total

So, step D is the same as what I've done to calculate the total time it will take Tristan to swim around the lake.
