Hello!
Question 1:
We have to put the ratio of the volumes
It is 27:125 ratio
This can be put as 27/125
We can multiply this by 63 to get the unknown surface area
This gives us 292
The answer is 292in^2
Question 2:
We have to find the ratio of the radius
3.1 : 6.2
We can see that they multiplied the first balloon by 2 to get the second
To find the missing volume we do 125 * 2 = 250
The answer is 250cm^3
Hope this helps!
I would just punch it in a calculator...
<span>3 • (3x + 4) • (2x + 5)</span>
<span></span>18x^2+69x+60<span><span /></span>
<span><span>Number that multiples to 120 and adds up to 23. </span>8+15=23</span>
<span /><span>8x15=120</span>
<span /><span>6x^2+8x+15x+20</span>
<span /><span>2x(3x+4)</span><span>5(3x+4)</span>
<span /><span>(2x+5) (3x+4)</span><span> </span>
<span>3 • (3x + 4) • (2x + 5)
</span>
36 divided by 0.8 = 45
45 makers will be placed along the route
The error happens in step 2 when the person decided to add 2+3 to get 5. The order of operations PEMDAS says that we have to do multiplication (M) before addition (A). So this is what the steps should look like:
2+3*(5+4)
2+3*9
2+27
29
The proper answer is 29
