Answer: large brain relative to body size

Explanation:

Primates are the vertebrates which posses large brain size as compared to the body size.  This is the common feature in all the primates. Their are four major themes for the large brain size. These includes

Genetic explanation: The primates have large brain size because a gene mutation caused their brain size large.

Developmental explanation: The primates have large brain size because the extended duration of prenatal investment cause them to grow large brain size. One more reason is that they have long gestation period.

Ecological explanation: The primates have evolved the large brain size to cope up with the demanding environmental conditions.

Social explanation: The primates follow a group lead by a leader this shows the social status of the primates influenced by their thinking.

Further Explanation:

Primates are an extremely diverse group of between one ninety and three hundred fifty living species, that are depends on different taxonomic level. They have various characteristic features that help in differentiate from other mammals. Examples of primates are monkey, apes etc. Humans share vary similar traits with the other primates.

The major features of primates are:

  • Four limbs
  • Collar bones
  • High degree of movement in their shoulders.
  • Forward facing eyes.
  • Relatively dexterous hands
  • Intelligence level is very high.
  • Brain is larger than their body.
  • Less number of teeth than mammals.

Explain how the fossil record indicates a long history of changing life forms.
sergey [27]
<h2><u>Answer:</u></h2>

Fossil: is preserved pre historic life form present under ground at high pressure for a long time.Animal die and burried under layers of sediments.

It provides evidence about the history of life on earth. It also shows  different groups of organisms, including species, that have changed over time. Because the formation of any fossil depends upon the precise combination of conditions.

As the world changes, plants and animals change with time . From fossils we compare organisms of modern time with ancient , the species we see today are very different from species that lived in the past. Thus, the fossil record can be used to show that organisms changed to meet new condition.

One reason native plants are declining is that the invasive plants absorb nitrogen from the soil about twice as fast (α = 2). Ho
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

α = 0 if β= 0

Explanation:

If both species want to persist in the same environment and their niches are also over lapping then both of the co-efficient values should be equal. There are two possibilities on these values for persistence. One is that one should compromise to the change produced by the invasive specie and two is that the new specie should compromise if he wants to stay (<em><u>Assuming that there is no competition</u></em>). In this way their niches won't overlap to a greater extent and therefore better chances of survival for both.
