Solve the following equation. Express your answer as an integer, simplified fraction, or decimal rounded to two decimal places.
Andrej [43]
The width of a rectangle is going to be equal on both sides, as they’re parallel in a rectangular shape. We know the width is 86 yards, and we have two lots of these, therefore 86 multiplied by 2 is equal to 172 yards.

We still have two more sides, but once again, because this is a rectangle, those sides must be equal. Therefore if we subtract the 172 yards we know from the total perimeter of 438 yards we will end up with an answer of 266 yards. This figure is divided by two because we have a length on either side of the perimeter. Therefore the answer is 133 yards.

Hope this helps!

What is the arc length when theta=2 pi/5 and the radius is 6 cm
Crank

Answer:

The length of the arc is 7.536cm

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem we need to use the circumferenc formula of a circle:

c = circumference

r = radius = 6cm

π = 3.14

c = 2π * r

we replace with the known values

c = 2 * 3.14 * 6cm

c = 37.68cm

The length of the circumference is 37.68cm

Now we calculate the fraction that corresponds to this arc with the rest of the circumference

(2 pi /5) / (2pi) = 1/5

now we multiply the circumference by the fraction

37.68cm  * 1/5 = 7.536cm

The length of the arc is 7.536cm

HELP FAST I’LL MARK YOU BRAINLIEST What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line whose equation is 6x+4y=72. Fully reduc
denis23 [38]

Answer:

2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

6x + 4y = 72

-6x         -6x

4y = 72 - 6x

/4         /4

y = 18 - 6/4x

y = -6/4x + 18

perpidicular slope is the opposite reciprical of the original line:

-6/4 is the slope of the line above.

4/6  or 2/3 would be the desired slope

check:

the two slopes mutplied would equal -1

-6/4 x 2/3 = -12/12 = -1
