there would be a 99% chance of a red marble being pulled out or even a 1% chance.

because of their being five green marbles and six red there is always a chance you could pull out any one of the colors.

but i believe that both of the answers are 1/2

but im not 100% sure

Answer:

1 is 3/5 and 2 is 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

you remove a green, there are still 6 reds our of 10 in total

you remove a red there are 5 reds plus 5 greens, half of the total 10 is 5

Please help me i need an answer
gregori [183]
Tom wants to save at least $2000. He already got $375. Let x be the amount he still needs to save.

375 + x >= 2000
Subtract 375 from both sides
375 + x - 375 >= 2000 - 375
x >= 1625

So he still needs to save at least $1625.

Hope this helps! :)

What is the equation of a line passing through (-3,7) and having a slip of -1/5
MrRa [10]

Answer:

\large\boxed{D.\ y=-\dfrac{1}{5}x+\dfrac{32}{5}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of an equation of a line:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the slope m = -1/5. Substitute:

y=-\dfrac{1}{5}x+b

Put the coordinates of the given point (-3, 7) to the equation:

7=-\dfrac{1}{5}(-3)+b

7=\dfrac{3}{5}+b            <em>subtract 3/5 from both sides</em>

6\dfrac{2}{5}=b\to b=\dfrac{6\cdot5+2}{5}=\dfrac{32}{5}

What is -2(5+6m) + 16 = -90 ?<br> Can you please show with detail
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

m = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

-2(5 + 6m) + 16 = -90

Start by distributing -2 inside the parentheses. This means you will multiply everything inside the parentheses (5 + 6m) by -2.

-10 - 12m + 16 = -90

Simplify the left side of the equation by combining like terms.

6 - 12m = -90

Subtract 6 from both sides of the equation to isolate the term containing the variable m and to move all other terms to the other side (right) of the equation.

-12m = -96

Divide both sides of the equation by -12 to isolate and solve for m.

m = 8

Find two positive real numbers whose product is a maximum. the sum is 80
Eduardwww [97]
Let's say the numbers are "a" and "b"

thus \bf y=ab\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;a+b=80\\&#10;b=80-a&#10;\end{cases}\implies y=a(80-a)\implies y=80a-a^2\\\\&#10;-----------------------------\\\\&#10;\cfrac{dy}{da}=80-2a

set the derivative to 0, and check the critical points, there's only one anyway

and do a first-derivative test, to see if it's a maximum
