Answer:

D:Line J'K' and M'N' do not intersect and are the same distance apart as JK and MN.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that two line segments JK and MN are translated 2 units to the left to form J'K' and M'N'.

We have to find which statements are true about segments J'K' and M'N'.

We know that when we shift any figure towards right or left then the shape size does not effect only coordinates of given figure changes.

The segment JK with points J(3,-1) and K(7,-1)

When given coordinates translated 2 units left then the transformation rule

(x,y)\rightarrow (x-2,y)

Using this transformation rule

The new segment J'K' with points J'(1,-1) and K'(5,-1).

The coordinates of M are (3,-2) and the coordinates of N are (7,-2).

Using the above given rule of transformation

The segment M'N' with points M'(1,-2) and N'(5,-2).

Therefore, after shifting JK and MN we get segments J'K' and M'N'.The distance between two segments does not change because size shape distance does not change only coordinates change.

Hence, option D is true.

Answer:D:Line J'K' and M'N' do not intersect and are the same distance apart as JK and MN.

Is the product of 12 and 3/4 more or less than 12? Please explain answer
denis23 [38]
Hello!!

So the product is when numbers or variables are multiplied together. So if we have 12 * 3/4 then that equals 12/1*3/4=(12*3)/4=36/4=9

So we can see that the product of 12*3/4 is less than 12. We can see this right from the start by noticing that to be at least 12, then 12 would have to be multiplied by at minimum 1 meaning 12*1=12 anything less than 1 would result in a lesser value than 12.

Hope this helps!! Any questions please just ask!! Thank you!!!

Answer:

  16

Step-by-step explanation:

The altitude of the triangle is 12/21 = 4/7 of the marked side. If we assume that the marked sides are the ones that are corresponding, then ...

  x = (4/7)(28)

  x = 16
