Takeru only uses eggs for soufflés in his restaurant. He uses
statuscvo [17]

Question:

Takeru only uses eggs for soufflés in his restaurant. He uses 3 eggs per soufflé. Last week, he bought 4 times as many eggs as he baked soufflés. Takeru had 18 eggs left over.

How many eggs did Takeru buy and how many soufflés did he bake?

Answer:

Takeru bought  72 eggs and made 18 souffles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Number of eggs per souffle   = 3

Number of left over egg  = 18

Number of eggs  bought  = 4 times as he baked soufflés

To find:

Number of many eggs did Takeru buy = ?

Number of souffles baked = ?

Solution:

Let x  be number of souffles Takeru

Let y be number  eggs

Then, the question says that he bought 4 times as many eggs as he baked souffles.

so the number of eggs

y = 4x----------------------------(1)

After making x souffles he is left with 18 eggs, and for making x souffle he uses 3x eggs ,so

Total eggs - eggs used to make x souffle = 18

y - 3x  =18-------------------(2)

substituting (1) in (2)

4x - 3x  = 18

x = 18--------------------------(3)

Substituting (3) in(1)

y = 4(18)

y = 72

The owner of a sporting goods store in Phoenix, Arizona surveys her customers to determine the proportion of customers that play
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a sample proportion where p^ represents the sample proportion.

If we have p^ = 0.6, it means about 60% of the sample are in agreement with or significant to the case study.

The case study here is 'customers that play racquetball' and p^ was 0.16.

This means that 16% of the customers of the sample said they play racquetball.
