Right triangle = Pythagoras theorem.
a^2+b^2=c^2
there's already c and b so
10^2-8^2=a^2
100-64= 36
a^2=36
square root both sides
to get 6.

What does the fraction 9/81 equal
boyakko [2]
In order for you to get the answer you must divide. Find a number the goes into both 9 and 81. You're lucky 81 is a multiple of 9. So we can use 9. So 9/81 divided by 9.
9/9=1
81/9=9

So 9/81=1/9

Please solve! It's really easy (I think).
Westkost [7]

Answer:

  • CD = 5.2 cm
  • A = 27 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>As per diagram we have:</u>

  • m∠A = 30°
  • m∠BCD = 30°

<u>As per 30° right triangle property:</u>

  • CD = √3×CB/2 = 3√3 ≈ 5.2 cm
  • and
  • AC = 2CD = 2×5.2 = 10.4 cm

<u>Area of triangle:</u>

  • A = 1/2bh
  • A = 1/2CB*AC
  • A = 1/2*5.2*10.4 ≈ 27 cm²

Answer:

I believe it would be C, 8 squared.

Step-by-step explanation:

8 squared means to multiply 8 twice. Not by two, 8 times 8. If you do that, you will get 64. This means that 8 squared is equivalent to 64'1

Suppose the demand for petrol by an average motorist is given by the following demand equation: Q = 2000P^−k, where Q is litres
GalinKa [24]
Given

The demand equation is given

Q=2000P^{-k}

here Q is liters purchased per year, P is the price in dollars per unit and k is a parameter =0.75.

Explanation

a. To determine the quantity of petrol demanded by the average motorist if the price is 1 dollar per liter.

\begin{gathered} Q=2000(1)^{-0.75} \\ Q=2000\text{ /year.} \end{gathered}

b. To determine the change in quantity demanded.

It is given that the price of petrol increases from $1.0to $2.0 per litre on a sustained basis.

Then the equation becomes

\begin{gathered} Q_1=2000(1)^{-0.75} \\ Q_2=2000(2)^{-0.75} \end{gathered}

The change in quantity demanded is

\Delta Q=\frac{Q_2-Q_1}{Q_1}

Substitute the values.

\begin{gathered} \Delta Q=\frac{1189.2-2000}{2000} \\ \Delta Q=-\frac{810.8}{2000} \\ \Delta Q=-0.4054 \end{gathered}Answer

a.The quantity of petrol demanded by the average motorist if the price is 1 dollar per liter is 2000 litres per year.

b. The change in quantity demanded is the fall in demand due to negative sign which is 0.4054.
