Answer:

7%

Explanation:

Return on investment (ROI) is a very popular and simple profitability ratio used by financial and business analyst to test the profitability or otherwise of an investment. It is always calculated by dividing the net income by the Cost of Investment, expressed as a percentage.

ROI                            = (Net Income / Cost of Investment) x 100%

Net Income               = Capital gain + dividend received

Capital gain              =  Sales of stock - Cost of stock

                                 =  $104,000 - $100,000 = $4,000

Dividend                   =  $3,000

Net Income               =  $4,000 + $3,000        = $7,000

Cost of Investment   =  $100,000

ROI                            =  ($7,000 / $100,000) x 100%

ROI                            =   (0.07) x 100%

ROI                            =   7%

Therefore, the return on investment of the Gamma stock is 7%.

In January, Stitch, Inc. adopted the dollar-value LIFO method of inventory valuation. At adoption, inventory was valued at $50,0
IgorC [24]

Answer:

$83,000

Explanation:

Calculation of the amount of inventory that Stitch should report in its year-end balance sheet

First step is to calculate for the 10% price increase

Increase price = ( $30,000 x 10% ) =$3,000

Second step is to add up the price increase to the amount of increase in inventory

$30,000 + $3,000 =$33,000

Hence, $33,000 will now be the increased in price inventory

Last step is to calculate for the amount of inventory that Stitch should report in its year-end balance sheet

Using this formula

Inventory to be reported = Valued of the Adoption inventory + Increase price Inventory

Where,

Adoption inventory value= $50,000

Increase price Inventory=$33,000

Let plug in the formula

Inventory to be reported = $50,000 + $33,000

Inventory to be reported =$83,000

Therefore the amount of inventory that Stitch should report in its year-end balance sheet will be $83,000

Audreys free-throw percentage so far this season is .875. If she makes only 13 of her next 20 free throws, her percentage will d
otez555 [7]

Answer:

245 free throws

Explanation:

x will be number of times Audreys makes a shot, and let y be total number of the shots.

x/y = .875

(x+13)/(y+20) = .860

Let solve for x in equation 1

x = .875y

We will plug the for x in the equation 2

(.875y+13)/(y+20)

= .860

.875y + 13

= .860y + 17.2

.015y = 4.2

y = 280

Audreys has taken 280 shots.

We will Plug that back into the equation 1 in order to find out how many Audreys made.

x/280 = .875

x = 245

Hence :

Audreys made 245 free throws

Cr Bonds Payable $2,253,934

2. Dr Interest Expense $96,919

Dr Bonds payable $3,181

Cr Cash $100,100

3. $2,250,753

Explanation:

1. Preparation of the journal entry to record the issuance of the bonds.

January 1

Dr Cash $2,253,934

Cr Bonds Payable $2,253,934

(To record the issuance of the bonds)

2. Preparation of the journal entry to record the interest payment on June 30 of this year.

June 30

Dr Interest Expense $96,919

Dr Bonds payable $3,181

($100,100-$96,919)

Cr Cash $100,100

(To record the interest payment)

Workings:

$2,002,000 × 0.28689 = $574,354

$100,100* × 16.77902 = 1,679,580

Issue price = $2,253,934

Interest: $2,002,000 × .10 × 1/2 = $100,100

June 30:

Interest Expense: $2,253,934 × .0430 = $96,919

3. Calculation to determine what bonds payable amount will Park report on its June 30 balance sheet

Park Corporation Balance sheet (Partial) June 30

Long term Liabilities:
