Depth perception can be defined as the ability to be able to see or view things visually through the use of three dimension which are the length, width and depth in which this dimension enable us to be conscious of the world and to judge how far the distance of an object is or are from someone.

Therefore Depth perception is a tool which gives the human eye's the ability to see things in three dimensions and judge the distance of an object.

Which is why when an infant are been coaxed by their mothers to crawl out onto the glass covering, most infants refused to do so, indicating that they had developed DEPTH PERCEPTION.
