4/5 - 1/2 =

3/10 in exact form

0.3 in decimal form

When subtracting a fraction, you always have to make sure your denominator/divisor's are the same.

Therefore you would find the Least Common Multiple of 5 and 2

Both would eventually come to 10, multiplying 4/5 by 2 on both the numerator and the denominator

Do the same with 1/2 except you multiply this one by 5 on both the numerator and the denominator.

Your fractions would then be  8/10 and 5/10

Then you subtract

8/10 - 5/10 = 3/10

(The Denominator does not change after all this)

Hope this helps :)

3/10 you cross multiply 5x2=10 so the denominator will be 10 and then cross multiply the numberators by the different denominator make sense? so 5x 1=5 and that mean 1/2=5/10 and 4/5=8/10 and the final answer when u subtract is 3/10 makes sense? u know what i mean jelly bean?

A concrete mix is designed to withstand 3000 pounds per square inch (psi) of pressure. The following data represent the strengt
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

Mean = 3640

Mode = 4100

Median = 3830.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following data in the question:

Strength of casts (in psi):

3970,4100,3100,3200,2950,3830,4100,4050,3460

Formula:

Mean = \displaystyle\frac{\text{Sum of all observation}}{\text{Total number of observations}}

\displaystyle\frac{3970+4100+3100+ 3200+ 2950+ 3830+4100+ 4050+ 3460}{9} = \displaystyle\frac{32760} {9} = 3640

Mode is the entry with most frequency. Thus, for the given sample mode = 4100.

Median

Since n = 9 is odd,

Formula:

Median = \displaystyle\frac{n+1}{2}th~term

Data in ascending order:

2950,3100,3200,3460,3830,3970,4050,4100,4100

Median = 5th term = 3830.
