Firstly, we will draw figure

Let's assume

length of AC=x

we have

AB : BC = 2 : 1

so,

AB=\frac{2}{3} x

BC=\frac{1}{3} x

Point D is on line AB

and

AB=\frac{2}{3} x

AD : DB = 3 : 2

so, we get

AD=\frac{3}{5} *\frac{2}{3} x

AD=\frac{2}{5} x

DB=\frac{2}{5} *\frac{2}{3} x

DB=\frac{4}{15} x

now, we can locate these values

Firstly, we will find DC

DC=DB+BC

now, we can plug values

DC=\frac{4}{15} x+\frac{1}{3} x

DC=\frac{3x}{5}

we have got

AD=\frac{2}{5} x

now, we can find ratio

\frac{AD}{DC} =\frac{\frac{2}{5} x}{\frac{3x}{5}}

now, we can simplify it

\frac{AD}{DC} =\frac{2}{3}

so,

AD:DC=2:3...........Answer

<h3>Answer:  n^2 + 1</h3>

Explanation:

Imagine that you cross out the top-most square for each step of each diagram. The squares not crossed out have the following counts: 1, 4, 9

This is the sequence of perfect squares. So the rule will have us take the number n, and square it to get n^2. Then we add on the squares we crossed out earlier. This explains the "plus 1" at the end to get the answer of n^2+1

Consider two identical iron nails: one nail is heated to 95 °c, the other is cooled to 15 °c. the two nails are placed in a coff
Angelina_Jolie [31]
The heat released or absorbed by a substance is calculated through the equation,
     H = mcpdT

where H is teh heat,
   m is the mass,
  Cp is the specific heat, and
  dT is the temperature difference

In this item, since both nails are identical, m and cp for both nails are equal such that the equation can be expressed as,
    mcp(95 - x) = mcp(x - 15)

where x is the final temperature. Solving for the value of x from the equation derived above will give us a final answer of 55 degrees C.

It is claimed that the proportion of people who favor the use of oxygenated fuels year around to reduce air pollution is 60%. A
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Conclusion is that there is sufficient evidence to reject the claim that the proportion of people who favor the use of oxygenated fuels year around to reduce air pollution is 60%.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given;

Population proportion; p = 60% = 0.6

Sample mean: x¯ = 315

Sample size; n = 500

Significance level = 0.09

Defining the hypothesis, we have;

Null Hypothesis; H0: p = 0.6

Alternative hypothesis; Ha: p > 0.6

z-score formula in this case is;

z = (x¯ - np)/√(np(1 - p))

Plugging in the relevant values;

z = (315 - (500 × 0.6))/√(500 × 0.6(1 - 0.6))

z = 1.72

From z-distribution table, the p-value at z = 1.72 is;

1 - P(Z ≤ z-score)

This gives:

p-value = 1 - 0.95728 = 0.04272

Thus p-value is less than the significance level of 0.09, thus we will reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there is sufficient evidence to reject the claim that the proportion of people who favor the use of oxygenated fuels year around to reduce air pollution is 60%.

The table below displays the purchases that Graphic DesignWorks made from
AveGali [126]

If Graphic Design Works uses LIFO and has 125 shorts left in its inventory, the value of its current stock is <u>D. $1485</u>.

<h3>What is the LIFO inventory system?</h3>

The Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) method is an inventory valuation method that assumes that the last units to arrive in inventory are sold first.

The LIFO method is allowed under US GAAP.  It is the opposite of FIFO (First-in, First-Out).  The FIFO method assumes that the units bought first are the first to be sold.

<h3>Data and Calculations:</h3>

Month of                    Number    Price per        Total Cost

Purchase                  of shorts       shorts

June                             40                $11                    440 (40 x $11)

July                              60                $12                   720 (60 x $12)

August                        80                 $13                1,040 (80 x $13)

September                 90                 $14                1,260 (90 x $14)

Ending inventory      125

Using LIFO:

Value of ending inventory = $1,485 ($440 + $720 + $13 x 25)

Thus, if Graphic Design Works uses LIFO and has 125 shorts left in its inventory, the value of its current stock is <u>D. $1485</u>.
