Yes beacuse that means it would be 32 years old

If we replace the 3 in the ratio with a 25 (which is a reasonable age for a parent), it means that the child would have to be about 17 years old. (The ratio would be 20:16.666667 to stay equal to 3:2) Therefore, it is not possible.

Which logarithmic equation is equivalent to 2^5=32?
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer: 5=log_{2}(32)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. By definition, you have if y=b^{x}, then x=log_{b}(y)

2. Keeping this on mind, you must follow the proccedure shown below:

- You have that:

2^{5}=32

Where:

x=5\\y=32\\b=2

- Substitute values into x=log_{b}(y). Then, you obtain:

5=log_{2}(32)

Finding a polynomial of a given degree with given zeros
galben [10]

Since f(x) is a polynomial with 3rd degree, then it will have 3 roots (zeroes)

One of them is real and the other two are complex conjugate roots

Since the real root is 4, then

x = 4

Since the complex root is (1 - i), then

The other root will be the conjugate of it (1 + i)

x = (1 - i)

x = (1 + i)

To find f(x) we will multiply the three factors of it

We can get the factors from the zeroes

x=4

Subtract 4 from both sides

\begin{gathered} x-4=4-4 \\ x-4=0 \end{gathered}

The first factor is (x - 4)

\begin{gathered} x=1-i \\ x-(1-i)=(1-i)-(1-i) \\ x-1+i=0 \end{gathered}

The second factor is (x - 1 + i)

The third factor is (x - 1 - i)

f(x)=(x-4)(x-1+i)(x-1-i)

We will multiply them to find f(x)

\begin{gathered} (x-1+i)(x-1-i)= \\ x^2-x-ix-x+1+i+ix-i-(i^2)= \\ x^2-2x+1-(-1)= \\ x^2-2x+1+1= \\ x^2-2x+2 \end{gathered}

Multiply it by (x - 4)

\begin{gathered} f(x)=(x-4)(x^2-2x+2) \\ f(x)=x^3-2x^2+2x-4x^2+8x-8 \\ f(x)=x^3-6x^2+10x-8 \end{gathered}

The answer is

f(x)=x^3-6x^2+10x-8

jodi walks 35 minutes a day if she walks for 240 days ,how many minutes altogether does jodi walk ??????
Ann [662]
To answer that question, you need to multiply 35 minutes × 240 days.

So:
        35
   × 240
_________
8400 minutes,

So Jodi walked a total of 8400 minutes

I hope this helped :)

Laura drove 638 miles in 11 hours at the same rate how long would it take her to drive 406 miles
shusha [124]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a d = rt problem; but since it is linear, then proportions will work too. Set up the proportion with miles on top and hours on the bottom:

\frac{miles}{hrs}:

Then put the numbers in where they go, keeping in mind that miles goes with miles and hours goes with hours in the ratios, and that our unknown is time (hours):

\frac{miles}{hrs}:\frac{638}{11}=\frac{406}{x} and cross multiply to solve:

638x = 4466 so

x = 7 hrs
