Hello,

I suppose you want the 4 numbers.

Let's call the numbers 2n,2n+2,2n+4,2n+6
2n+2n+2+2n+4+2n+6[=8n+12=15*4\\
8n+12=60\\
8n=48\\
n=6\\\\
2n=12\\
2n+2=14\\
2n+4=16\\
2n+6=18\\

Let x be the first even number. Then adding 2 consecutively gives us the subsequent even numbers. That is

x,x+2,x+4,x+6

From the question, the mean of these four numbers is 15. That is;

\frac{\sum x}{n} =15

\Rightarrow \frac{x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)}{4} =15

\Rightarrow \frac{x+x+2+x+4+x+6}{4} =15

\Rightarrow \frac{x+x+x+x+2+4+6}{4} =15

\Rightarrow \frac{4x+12}{4} =15

Multiply both sides by 4 to obtain,

\Rightarrow 4\times \frac{4x+12}{4} =4 \times15

\Rightarrow 4x+12 =60

\Rightarrow 4x =60-12

\Rightarrow 4x =48

Divide both sides by 4 to obtain,

x =12

<h2>Hence the greatest of the numbers is 12+6=18</h2><h2>and the least of the numbers is 12.</h2>

Elanso [62]

Answer: 0.0885

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : According to a recent Catalyst Census, 16% of executive officers were women with companies that have company headquarters in the Midwest.

i.e. p= 0.16

Sample size : n= 154

Now, the  probability that more than 20% of this sample is comprised of female employees is given by :-

P(p>0.20)=P(z>\dfrac{0.20-0.16}{\sqrt{\dfrac{0.16(1-0.16)}{154}}})

[∵ z=\frac{\hat{p}-p}{\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}}]

=P(z>1.35)\approx1-P(z\leq1.35)=1-0.9115=0.0885  [Using the standard z-value table]

Hence, the required probability = 0.0885

AleksAgata [21]

Subtract the amount you have from the amount you need:

2 cups - 1 3/8 cups

Subtract the whole cup first:

2 cups -1 cup = 1 cup

8/8 = 1

Rewrite 1 as 8/8 then subtract the 3/8 you have:

8/8 - 3/8 = 5/8

You need 5/8 cup more

➷ We have 2 points which we can use to figure out the slope

slope = difference in y values/ difference in x values

Substitute in the values you have:

0 - 5/ 3 - 0

slope = -5/3

The y intercept is simply where the line crosses the y axis

In this case, it is 5

Therefore, your equation is y = -5/3x + 5
