QUESTION 1:

2 -3 0.3 2/3 -1/4

For a start, everything to the power of 0 equals 1, so you can write 1 for everything in the top row.

Then, everything to the power of 1 equals itself, so for the 2nd row, write:
2, -3, 0.3, 2/3, -1/4

The rest of it is here:

2 ^ 2 = 4
2 ^3 = 8
2 ^4 = 16
2 ^5 = 32

-3 ^ 2 = -9
-3 ^ 3 = -27
-3 ^ 4 = -81
-3 ^ 5 = -243

0.3 ^ 2 = 0.09
0.3 ^ 3 = 0.027
0.3 ^ 4 = 0.0081
0.3 ^ 5 = 0.00243

2/3 ^ 2 = 0.22
2/3 ^ 3 = 0.074
2/3 ^ 4 = 0.025
2/3 ^ 5 = 0.008

(-1/4) ^ 2 = 0.0625
(-1/4) ^ 3 = (-0.016)
(-1/4) ^ 4 = 0.004
(-1/4) ^ 5 = (-0.00098)

Unfortunately I currently don't have time to help you on Questions 2 or 3, but I hope this helps! :)

How can you solve a rational equation without graphing?
KiRa [710]

Answer:

To figure out the common denominator for these fractions, I'll first need to factor that quadratic in the denominator on the right-hand side of the rational equation. This will also allow me to find the disallowed values for this equation. Factoring gives me:

x2 – 6x + 8 = (x – 4)(x – 2)

The factors of the quadratic on the right-hand side "just so happen" to be duplicates of the other denominators. This often happens in these exercises. (So often, in fact, that if you get completely different factors, you should probably go back and check your work.)

Find the volume of a cube with side length of 7 in.
anastassius [24]

Answer: 343 in³

Explanation: In this problem, we're asked to find the volume of a cube.

It's important to understand that a cube is a type of rectangular prism and the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism is shown below.

Volume = length × width × height

In a cube however, the length, width, and height are all the same. So we can use the formula side × side × side instead.

So the formula for the volume of a cube is side × side × side or s³.

So to find the volume of the given cube, since each side has a length of 7 inches, we can plug this information into the formula to get (7 in.)³ or (7 in.)(7 in.)(7 in).

7 x 7 is 49 and 49 x 7 is 343.

So we have 343 in³.

So the volume of the given cube is 343 in³.
