The Constitutional Convention of Philadelphia of 1787 had the main objective of modifying the Articles of Confederation, which had shown several shortcomings in subjects such as federal government financing, tax collection, national defense and effectiveness of the federal authority.

As different events happened, this deficiency was being tested, so it went from seeking to reform the central government formed by a collegiate body, to a sole proprietorship of power, but with sufficient limits so that it does not become a monarchy. So it was that it went from a moderate reform to the Articles of Confederation to a new constitutional text, where the figure of the President was created and limited and a new system of government was created.

This is where the Constitution was written, which lays out our entire government. The Constitution is the Law of the Land. After the Constitution was written, so was the whole government.
