During the time frame given in the question, there was a battle known as the Holy Wars. Constantinople which was a Christian teaching religion submitted into the territory of the Turkish Ottoman Empire in which practiced Muslim teachings. In return, Christianity became to what called "The Crusaders" and tried to take back the territory submitted to the Turkish faith under the eyes of their God.
