Answer:

4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

given volume = 48πcm³

height = 9cm

r = ?

the formula for finding the  volume of a cone  = 1/3 πr²h

v = πr²h/3

make r" the subject of the formula

by cross multiplying,

3v = πr²h

divide both sides by  πh

3v/πh =r²

r = √3v/πh

r= √3 × 48π/9π

π cancels π

r = √144/9

r = 12/3

r = 4cm

therefore the radius of the cone is 4cm

EleoNora [17]
We are given with
dimensions of wheelbarrow = 2ft x 3ft x 1.5 ft
dimensions of truck = 11 ft x 8 ft x 6 ft

The volume of the wheelbarrow is 2(3)(1.5) = 9 ft3
The volume of the truck is 11(8)(6) = 528 ft3
70% of this is
528 ft3 (0.7) = 369.6 ft3
Dividing this by the volume of the wheelbarrow
369.6 ft3 / 9 ft3 = 41.07
He would need to use the wheelbarrow 42 times.

The perpendicular bisector of a line segment is a line perpendicular to the segment that passes through its midpoint. What is th
adoni [48]

Answer:

y = 1/3 x.

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of the given line is

(4 - (-2) / 2 - 4)

=   -3.

So the slope of the line perpendicular to it = -1 / (-3) = 1/3.

This line also passes through the point (3, 1) so its equation is ( by the point-slope form):

y - 1 = 1/3(x - 3)

y - 1 = 1/3x - 1

y = 1/3 x (answer).

A cylinder, cone, and sphere are show below. The three figures have the same radius. If the radius is 3, what is each volume?
nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

cylinder = 27π

cone =  9π

sphere = 36π

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of a cylinder = πr²h where r = radius and h = height

height of cylinder (h) = 3 and radius (r) = 3

so volume = π(3)²3

==> simplify exponent

volume = π9(3)

==> multiply 9 and 3

volume of cylinder = 27π

Volume of a cone = πr²(h/3) where r = radius and h = height

height of cone (h) = 3 and radius (r) = 3

so volume = π(3)²(3/3)

==> simplify exponent

volume = π9(3/3)

==> divide 3 by 3

volume = π9(1)

==> multiply 9 and 1

volume of cone = 9π

volume of a sphere = 4/3πr³ where r = radius

radius = 3

so volume = 4/3π(3)³

==> simplify exponent

volume = 4/3π27

==> multiply 4/3 and 27

volume of sphere = 36π
