The transactional nature of intercultural communication emphasizes the attributes of interdependence and irreversibility.  

Intercultural communication is the relationship between individual from different cultural background. Communications in this regard can verbal or non-verbal.

However, the characteristics, values and knowledge of a particular group of people which include language, religion, social habit is known as culture. It also the total way of life.

Interdependence in culture simply defines a situation where a culture depends on each other to exist. It is a relationship in which each culture is mutually dependent on each other. This idea varies from culture to culture. Some culture depends on each to exist while some culture does not.

Interdependence in this regard may be emotionally, physically, economically, ecologically or morally dependent and accountable to each other.

Independence may be between two or more cultures.  

Though some cultures that do not depend on each other to exist believe that interdependence is not always the best idea, they believe freedom or independence is the best way to exits.  

In a nut shell, the main idea behind interdependence in culture is to benefit from each other. It is towards achieving stability or to remain in existence.

Irreversibility is in this regard means it is not reversible. Some culture depending on another culture to exist would remain like that; this is because their existence solely relies on the relationship they shared with another culture.
