I'm pretty sure you just answered your own question, (no hate), but I'm going to take a guess and say 2 hours??

nadezda [96]

Answer:

The correct option is;

Both spreads are best described by the standard deviation

Step-by-step explanation:

The given information are;

,                                    College                       High School

High,                              20                               20

Low,                                6                                 3

Q₁,                                   8                                 5.5

Q₃,                                  18                                16

IQR,                                 10                                10.5

Median,                           14                                11

Mean,                              13.3                             11

σ,                                      5.2                             5.4

Checking for outliers, we have

College

Q₁ - 1.5×IQR gives 8 - 1.5×10 = -7

Q₃ + 1.5×IQR gives 18 + 1.5×10 = 33

For high school

Q₁ - 1.5×IQR gives 5.5 - 1.5×10.5 = -10.25

Q₃ + 1.5×IQR gives 16 + 1.5×10.5 = 31.75

Therefore, there are no outliers and the data is representative of the population

From the data, for the college students, it is observed that the difference between the mean, 13.3 and Q₁, 8, and between Q₃, 18 and the mean,13.3 is approximately the standard deviation, σ, 5.2

The difference between the low and the high is also approximately 3 standard deviations

Therefore the college spread is best described by the standard deviation

Similarly for the high school students, the IQR is approximately two standard deviations, the  difference between the mean, 11 and Q₁, 5.5, and between Q₃, 16 and the mean,11 is approximately the standard deviation, σ, 5.4

Therefore the high school spread is also best described by the standard deviation.

In variogram modeling with multiple variables and anisotropy, if all the variograms cannot be modeled well, it is critical to mo
siniylev [52]

Answer:

The statement is false.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the modeling is with multiple variables it is necessary for all the variables to be modeled well such that the criticality of the model is dependent on all the variograms. It is not dependent on the cross variograms only.

Please answer ASAP and if you do you will get Brainliest. Catherine buys a gallon of ice cream from the store. After taking it h
rodikova [14]

Answer:

Catherine's sister ate 2/15 gallons of the ice cream.

\displaystyle \frac{2}{15}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the amount of ice cream that Catherine's sister ate, in gallons.

  • Original amount: 1 gallon.
  • What Catherine ate: \displaystyle \frac{1}{5} gallons.
  • What Catherine's sister ate is assumed to be x gallons.
  • What's left: \displaystyle \frac{2}{3} gallons.

Consider the relationship:

\text{Original amount - What Catherine ate - What Catherine's Sister ate}\\ =\text{ What's left.}.

That is:

\displaystyle 1- \frac{1}{5} - x = \frac{2}{3}.

Add x to both sides of this equation:

\displaystyle 1 - \frac{1}{5} = \frac{2}{3} +x

Substract \displaystyle \frac{2}{3} from both sides:

\displaystyle 1 - \frac{1}{5} - \frac{2}{3} = x.

Convert the denominator of all three numbers on the left-hand side to 3 \times 5 = 15

\displaystyle \frac{15}{15} - \frac{3}{15} - \frac{10}{15} = x.

\displaystyle x = \frac{2}{15}.

In other words, Catherine's sister ate \displaystyle \frac{2}{15} gallons of the ice cream.
