China was insulated from the scientific and industrial revolutions occurring in Europe because of itself impose isolation; as a result, the West surged ahead of China while China began its slow decline.

Thousands of years of isolation led to social, political and economic stagnation completely isolated China from the pivotal developments in Europe most notably the scientific and industrial revolution that occurred in the 18th and 19th Century respectively. China's technological and economic supremacy compared to the rest of the world no longer held its position.

balu736 [363]

Answer:

Option D.

Explanation:

The practice of restricting movement and assembly of African Americans, is the right answer.

The laws passed in the years between 1865 and 1866 by the southern states of the U.S. following the Civil War, were known as the Black Codes. These laws were enacted to define the freedom of African Americans and to enforce them to operate in a labor economy on low payments. Black Codes were part of a more extensive model of Southern whites seeking to control political dominance and crush the freedmen, recently freed African-American serfs.
