Glucose is broken down during cellular respiration to produce carbon dioxide and water.

Further Explanation:

The glucose is broken down by a process called cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is referred as a total collection of methods and metabolic process that occur in cells. The cellular respiration is a process by which the cells of the body breakdown the food to produce energy. This energy is required for all the metabolic functions as well as the physical role of the body. The cellular respiration in animals and plant mainly occurs in mitochondria. The cellular respiration can be dividing into three stages

 • Kreb’s cycle
 • Glycolysis
 • Electron transport chain

So, by breaking down glucose through cellular respiration, they produce mainly carbon dioxide and water. The energy released by metabolism of glucose is referred as ATP. During any exercise, the energy required by the muscles is fulfilled by four major sources of ATP namely; the free ATP, creatine phosphate, glycolysis, and cellular respiration.

What type of ion channel is responsible for the depolarization phase of an action potential?
Ivenika [448]

The type of ion channels responsible for the depolarization phase of an action potential are Na+ (sodium) channels. Sodium ions flow inward through the sodium channels and cause an increase in the concentration of positively charged ions in the cell; this in turn, leads to depolarization.

Collagen genes is the best choice

Explanation:

Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals

 • Collagen is found in bones, muscles, tendons and skin
 • It is the one which holds the body together
 • It strengthen and support many tissues in the body
 • Collagen genes encode many types of collagen which have a structural role in the extracellular matrix and has a great tensile strength
 • At least 26 different collagen polypeptide chains are present which are encoded by 26 unique collagen genes
 • Since collagen is the main protein of connective tissue in animals and is considered as the most abundant protein in mammals it can be the best choice to base the phylogeny
 • Rest all options are specific for a particular function in particular animals

Describe the three core principles of the cell theory.Give an example of each
Tju [1.3M]

Explanation:

cell theory, which has three main additions: first, that DNA is passed between cells during cell division; second, that the cells of all organisms within a similar species are msotly the same, both structurally and chemically; and finally, that energy flow occurs within

For example, bacteria, which are single-celled organisms, divide in half (after they grow some) to make new bacteria. ... Cell theory states that: All organisms are composed of cells. Cells are alive and the basic living units of organization in all organisms.

Occurs when fuel rods produce to much heat
Sergio [31]

When this occurs the neutrons released by a fission reaction continue striking more nuclei. If the fuel rods in a reactor vessel produce too much heat, this condition may occur.
